We at Elbe 1 Yachtkontor live and work in northern Germany and are part of the worldwide Sea Independent brokerage network. Our range includes used sailing and motor yachts, houseboats and catamarans. We also have selected charter offers in our portfolio.

We support you in all matters and questions that arise when buying a boat.

From the initial contact with the current owner to the selection of the right boat, the compilation of all legal documents, registration, financial advice, insurance and handover - we will accompany you every step of the way until the boat has arrived at its new berth.

Born in Hamburg, her joy of sailing began at the age of 7, when Birgit learned to sail on the Alster on an Opti.

In the years that have followed until today, she has sailed various boats of different sizes, was allowed to sail one or another regatta and has crossed the Atlantic with two friends on a 21m sailing yacht.

She acquired her knowledge and skills in the yacht brokerage business from the Hanseatic yacht broker Arne Schmidt.

This is where the idea came from to turn the hobby into a career. She has realized that with the Elbe 1 Yachtkontor and is pleased about the partnership with Michel Simon.

Michel Simon has been working in the water sports industry for 8 years now. Due to his great interest in motor and sailing yachts, he can not only provide you with the best possible support when purchasing your yacht, but also advises you on navigating the areas and provides you with expert support in the implementation of yacht transport.

As a long-time water sports enthusiast with his own boat, Michel Simon is at home in the areas of the North and Baltic Seas, as well as the IJselmeer.

Its home territory is in East Frisia, with the port of departure in Norddeich he often visits the East Frisian islands such as Norderney, Borkum and Langeoog.

“I have remained loyal to water sports since I was a child. Owning your own boat is a feeling of great freedom. I look forward to supporting you in making your dream come true,” says Michel Simon.
